Akshaya Patra’s 76th kitchen inaugurated in Avalahalli, Bengaluru

The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s 76th kitchen was inaugurated in in Cheemasandra Village, Avalahalli Panchayat, Bidarahalli, Bengaluru. This centralised kitchen will provide daily nutritious meals This is the Foundation’s sixth kitchen in the city and is set to provide over 7,500 nutritious mid-day meals each day to over 60 government and government-aided schools in areas of Bidarahalli and Cheemasandra areas. The event was inaugurated by chief guests, Smt Manjula Aravind Limbavali, Member of Legislative Assembly, Mahadevapura Assembly Constituency, Bengaluru and Shri Aravind Limbavali, Former Minister, Government of Karnataka. Smt Latha kumari Kumari IAS, CEO of Bengaluru Urban District Zilla Panchayat graced the occasion.

Akshaya Patra’s 75th kitchen inaugurated in Chikkajala, Bengaluru

This centralised kitchen will provide daily nutritious meals to 35,000 students studying in 200 government and government-aided schools around areas of Hebbal, Jakkur and Yelahanka.

Commemoration of 4 Billion Meals at the UN HQ, New York

The UN headquarters commemorated the historic achievement of The Akshaya Patra Foundation serving 4 billion meals on April 2, 2024. Inauguration of Akshaya Patra’s 66th kitchen in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Akshaya Patra’s 66th kitchen in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh - Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan on January 25, 2023. Hindustan Electro Graphite Ltd funded the construction of the new facility, which will nourish over 50,000 school children daily.

Hon’ble Chief Minister - Assam, Inaugurates 65th Kitchen in Jorhat

On 29 July 2022, Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma – Chief Minister of Assam, inaugurated The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s centralised kitchen in Jorhat, Assam. The state-of-the-art centralised kitchen, spread over an area of 3 acres, is built in partnership with Credit Suisse, the platinum donors of the project, as well as Apraava Energy Private Limited and ATE Chandra Foundation. The new unit is Akshaya Patra’s 65th kitchen in the country and second in the state of Assam. It will enable the Foundation to impact the lives of over 30,000 children through the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM POSHAN) [formerly the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) Scheme].

Hon’ble Home Minister Inaugurates Akshaya Patra’s 64th kitchen in Mansa

On 23 July 2022, Shri Amit Shah - Honourable Home Minister of India, inaugurated The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s new kitchen. The new unit is built-in partnership with IndusInd Bank Limited will be the Foundation’s 64th kitchen in the country. Through this kitchen, Akshaya Patra will serve nutritious mid-day meals to 26,000 children studying in 190 schools in the region as a part of the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM POSHAN) initiative.
