Every registration directly supports the Akshaya Patra Foundation, which provides nutritious mid-day meals to over 2.25 million underprivileged school children across government and government-aided schools in India.
As you know, the primary goal of the mid-day meal scheme is to boost school enrollment, particularly among economically disadvantaged communities. By providing free meals, the scheme incentivizes more students to attend school regularly, thus improving overall attendance rates. Additionally, these nutritious meals play a crucial role in ensuring that children receive adequate nourishment during their formative years at the elementary level.
Since its launch in 2023, Miles4Meals has become an annual event, symbolizing our collective commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need. In partnership with CGI and ELCIA, the marathon was aimed to alleviate hunger among disadvantaged school children in and around Electronic City. The participation in the marathon supported around 5500 needy school children. It was a fun-filled day of fitness, community belonging and fundraising.
