As a secular, not-for-profit program implemented only in government schools where there is no discrimination on the basis of religion, gender, color or socio-economic background, we inspire social action for change.

In partnership with the Central and respective State Governments of India, Akshaya Patra is the largest school meal program in the world; and therefore a unique and successful example of a public-private partnership.

Feeding over a million children across seven states in India everyday, Akshaya Patra believes in cost efficiency and high quality through use of advanced technologies, efficient management and quality workforce.

We recognize that good education is imperative for the sustainable human resource development in the country. On recommendation of the former president of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, we conceptualized Vidya Akshaya Patra, a program that provides healthcare and medical assistance via de-worming and vitamin supplements to the children in schools. We do this in partnership with other charitable organizations.

Looking at holistic development of children, we sensitize and influence policy makers, urging them to focus on problems of underprivileged children. Additionally, we encourage pregnant and lactating women to partake nutritious meals provided in schools in an attempt to curb malnutrition among newborn children.
